Awards are nice.
It's no secret that the first year of Junk Free June's life, was a successful one.
Little Giant's campaign, the brain child of our very own Creative Director, Matt Clayton, garnered a lot of attention, raised a notable sum of donations and raised plenty of awareness for the Cancer Society. So what else could possibly happen to top off its success?.. An Effie Award wouldn't go astray.
And last week, that's exactly what happened. Little Giant took home their first Effie award at the CAANZ Awards Gala for their creation of the not-for-profit campaign.
The highly acclaimed award celebrates effectiveness in marketing communications, spotlighting marketing ideas that work and encouraging thoughtful dialogue about the drivers of marketing effectiveness. The Silver Effie award only adds to the success of Junk Free June’s branding, digital platform, content, management, media awareness, public engagement and advertising effectiveness as a whole.
“I wanted to do something different, something that made charity fun and fashionable to be a part of. 2015 was the first step - with that out the way, we’re already looking ahead to a massive 2016 campaign in New Zealand and international expansion. Winning an Effie for what we did this year is great, especially for the Cancer Society, but all I have to say is keep an eye out for us on the stage again next year” says Clayton.
The award solidifies our successful integration of capabilities and highlights our ability to achieve creative briefs from a campaign’s inception - injecting further confidence into the way our digitally-led agency combines and executes service offerings.
