NZVIF.
Driving credibility and interest through a B2B website.
Start-up companies need Capital to grow. The NZVIF was established by the New Zealand government in 2002 to build a vibrant early stage investment market in New Zealand. They currently have $300 million of funds under management and have backed some of NZ's most well-known tech companies such as Vend, Xero, Orion Health and PoweredbyProxi. NZVIF commissioned us to breathe new life into their digital platform following a recent re-brand. They wanted a complete overhaul of their current solution from top to bottom, with a stronger focus on their B2B needs. Every bit of content & copy was stripped back and revised, we revised the entire aesthetic from scratch and we moved them to a new platform and CMS that would allow them to easily manage their website going forward. It is a finished asset both ourselves and NZVIF are really proud of.
Planning for success
Following a workshop to understand their distinct user segments, we worked with NZVIF to completely overhaul and simplify the current copy, redesign the navigation / site structure, and step out clear user pathways focused on helping NZVIF achieve their digital communication objectives.

Business to Business solutions can be beautiful
We were determined on this project to make the end result beautiful. Just because it is an investment fund, owned by the NZ government it doesn't mean that good aesthetic principles can't be upheld. We created an aesthetic relevant to NZVIF's new brand guidelines and the tech industry in which they operate. Using smart animations, minimalistic brand assets, large filtered imagery and clean white space to create something that is professional, modern and strong.

A powerful CMS
NZVIF needed to be able to manage their digital asset in-house going forward. We built them a custom CMS using SIlverstripe, specifically for their needs. The CMS allows any NZVIF staff members with given permission to update their portfolio, post media releases, publications and news articles, upload and manage investment documents, update team members and edit basic information around the site such as text / images.
